I love to play games of any kind, and I also love to watch game shows on TV. So today I thought we would play a round from a well known game show....Family Feud. So the question is NAME A POPULAR CHRISTMAS CAROL. The top 9 answers are on the board. So below I want you to give me 12 Christmas Carols that you believe are the most popular. Why 12 you may ask when I said there are 9 answers on the board. Well in Family Feud you get three strikes before play passes to the other team, so by giving me 12 answers you are in an essence getting three strikes. I hope that makes sense. So in the comments below tell me what you think the 12 MOST POPULAR CHRISTMAS CAROLS are.

Today's Bible Reading is Hebrews 12:1-2. For an extra entry answer the following question: What is Jesus the Author and Finisher of?

Happy Sunday everyone!!! Today we have something easy for you. In the comments below tell me what your favorite Christmas decoration is and why. Mine has always been these two pixies that would sit on a red ladder leaning up against the tree. Sadly we lost them when we moved about ten years ago. So why are they my favorite? Well they are the first decoration that I remember helping my Mom set up. Then every year I wanted to be the one who set the pixies and the ladder up.

Today's Bible Reading is Micah 3:1-6. For an extra entry answer the following question: What did He do to the sons of Levi?

Countdown to Christmas

Can you believe that it is already December? Where has the year gone? If you remember last year at this time, I hosted a Countdown to Christmas each day from December 1 - December 26. I don't know about you, but I sure had a lot of fun doing it so I thought I would bring it back again this year. So for the next 26 days, I will be posting a different trivia game or question along with Bible passages to read.

So for today's game, I thought we would do a Christmas version of Scattegories. If you have never played Scattegories before, don't worry it is really easy.  Listed below is a list of 12 different categories. What you need to do is give me something that would fit in category. You can give me up to five for each category. So for example if the category is "Has the word snow in it', you could say things like snowman, snowball, Let it Snow, snowmobile, and snowflake. Seems pretty easy right? Well there is one little catch...if you and somebody else both put down snowman then that answer does not count. So you want to come up with things that others may not think of. If you can't think of five answers for each category or even one answer for each category, don't worry about it. Just have fun playing!!!!!!!!

1. Christmas Movie Name
2. Christmas Food Item
3. Something Green in Color
4. Christmas Decoration
5. Christmas Song
6. Family Christmas Tradition
7. Christmas Drink
8. Something Red and White in Color
9. Christmas Wish for this Year
10. Christmas Activity
11. Christmas Book
12. Something at the North Pole

I hope you enjoyed this start to our Countdown to Christmas!!! Oh I forgot to mention that just like last year, I will be giving a present at the end of the Countdown to Christmas. Yep that's right, one lucky person will win a Christmas gift!!!! All you have to do to enter is keep coming back every day for a new activity and post your answers in the comments below. Each time you comment, your name will be entered into a drawing, and on on December 27 I will have a drawing to see who the lucky winner is. So keep coming back each day and tell your family and friends.

Today's Bible reading is Isaiah 7:14. Answer the following question to earn an extra entry. What did the Lord say the virgin would call her Son?

Have A Wonderful Day!!!!!!!!!!!

Family Fun Friday

Hey everyone. I hope y'all are having a great Friday. Last Family Fun Friday, I shared with you some ideas for a Christmas movie night. Today, I would like to share with you some ideas for a "regular" movie night. (Meaning movies that are not Christmas movies). Listed below are some of my favorite movies. I have so many favorites that it was very hard to choose just three, but I finally narrowed it down to three. Below you will find three movies that are some of my all time favorites, plus the essentials you will need for the perfect family movie night. Thanks to PureFlix for making the graphic below for me.
Picture
In case you are not familiar with some of my choices, I have given a brief synopsis of the movies below.
Picture
"Signed, Sealed, Delivered Series"
starring Eric Mabius, Kristin Booth, Geoff Gustafson, and Crystal Lowe
There are a total of ten movies so far(one is coming out on September 24, 2017) plus a ten episode season. This wonderful series follow the Postables(Oliver, Shane, Norman, and Rita) as they solve the mystery behind lost letters that find their where to the Denver Dead Letter Office.

This is the best series that I have seen. My entire family loves this series, and guess we all agree on watching it. (Which is sometimes a challenge to find something to watch that we all like and agree on!) The series is filled with humor, tear jerking moments, romance, and a Spiritual message that will touch your heart.

Sadly, they are not all available on DVD yet, but I am hoping that they all will be soon. Below is a complete list of the entire series, plus links for those that are available on DVD if you would like to purchase your own.
Pilot
TV Series
For Christmas
From Paris With Love
Truth Be Told
Impossible Dream
From the Heart
One in A Million
Lost Without You
Higher Ground
Home Again
Picture
"All of My Heart"
starring Brennan Elliot, Lacey Chabert, and Ed Asner
A young caterer’s life suddenly changes course when she inherits a country home and learns she must share it with a career-obsessed Wall Street trader. At first, these opposites do not attract, but feelings begin to change when they find themselves having to work side-by-side to restore their newly acquired home.

This adorable movie was made for Hallmark a couple of years ago. I instantly fell in love with the movie as soon as I watched it. It is has everything you will want in a Romantic Comedy. They are currently working on a sequel for the movie, which will air sometime this fall! I can't wait to find out what happens to Brian and Jenny! If you would like to purchase your own copy of this movie, then click here.

Picture
"Surprised by Love"
starring Paul Campbell and Hilarie Burton
As a young businesswoman tries to convince her uptight parents to approve of her current boyfriend, she finds herself questioning her own life choices and falling for an old high school flame. Over her parents’ 40th anniversary weekend, she must decide which direction her life – romantic and otherwise – is going to take.

This is another delightful movie that Hallmark put out a couple of years ago. My entire family loves this movie. The hilarious antics that fill this movie keep my family laughing throughout the entire movie. If you are looking for a funny and light-hearted movie, then I definitely recommend you watch this here. Click here to purchase your own copy.

Now of course no movie night is complete without a few essentials.
1. A comfy spot to curl up in
2. Your favorite snack of course. As you can tell by the photo, my favorite snack is ice cream!!!!
3. Turn off all electronic devices. That way you will not be distracted by anything as you and your family spend some quality time together.

So these are my suggestions for Family Fun Friday this week. Let me know what are some of your favorite movies and what your favorite snack is. Have A Wonderful Day!!!

Family Fun Friday

Thanks to Leah Hastings, I am starting a new series called FAMILY FUN FRIDAY. Leah approached me with the idea about doing a post on Family Fun Night, that it got me to thinking about doing a regular post called Family Fun Friday. Now of course we all now that we can have fun with our families everyday of the week, but I love the alliteration in Family Fun Friday!

For my first post I want to give you all an idea for Christmas in July. Most businesses have some kind of Christmas in July sales. Hallmark has been running Christmas specials most of the month, so I want to share with you some of my favorite Christmas movies. There are so many to chose from, but I finally narrowed down to three. Thanks to Pure Flix who made the graphic below to help me share with you my Christmas movie suggestions plus the ultimate essentials that you will need for a Christmas movie night.

Picture
In case you are not familiar with the movies that I have suggested, I have put a synopsis of each movie below.
Picture
"The Gift of Love"
starring Marie Osmond and Timothy Bottoms
Played against the tapestry of early 1900's New York City, this touching tale of selflessness brings O. Henry's Christmas Valentine lovingly to the screen. A beautiful and wealth orphan (Marie Osmond) is dutifully resigned to an arranged-for marriage to a man of "socially acceptable class" (James Woods), when her heart is captured by a young Swiss immigrant (Timothy Bottoms). Within her heart she wages the struggle to fulfill her relatives' expectations, and yet to find for herself that most precious of all joys, "The Gift of Love".

I have always loved this sweet story. Yes, you pretty much know how it is going to turn out, but the journey along the way is beautiful. Sadly, they don't air this movie any more, but you can purchase it here at Amazon.
Picture
"Crown for Christmas"
by Danica McKellar and Rupert Penry-Jones
After getting fired from her job as a maid at a ritzy New York City hotel, Allie reluctantly accepts a temp gig as the governess to a young girl who is part of a powerful family in Europe that lives in an actual castle. After arriving, Allie learns the girl is named Princess Theodora and her father is Maximillian, the King of Winshire. The King informs Allie that the Princess has a tendency to terrorize authority figures, a predilection that has grown worse since her mother’s death. Yet governess and Princess wind up hitting it off while at the same time a spark forms between Allie and Max. However, Countess Celia is expecting to wed the King. Will Max take a stand for his feelings for Allie and make it truly a Merry Christmas for all (or at least, most)?

This cute movie was made for Hallmark a couple of years ago, and I loved it from the first time that I saw it. The little girl in the movie is so adorable, and who doesn't like a good princess movie, right? Danica McKellar does a terrific job as the governess, and I love how she relates to the little girl. Of course you can watch this movie on Hallmark come Christmas season, but if you can't wait until then, you can purchase it here from Amazon. In fact, my family and I just watched this movie last night! It has become one of our favorites!

Picture
"Hearts of Christmas"
starring Emilie Ullerup and Kristoffer Polaha
When a beloved neonatal intensive care unit supervisor is forced to take early retirement, her young colleague, Jenny, decides to turn the upcoming staff Christmas party into a surprise celebration for her. But the plan is complicated by the hospital’s new CFO who’s been tasked to cut costs.

This heart warming story was made for Hallmark last Christmas. I must admit that it was my favorite Christmas movie that they put out last Christmas. This story will definitely touch your heart. I recommend that you have a box of tissues next to you when you watch it, as there will not be a dry eye in the house. Sadly, this movie is not available for purchase, but hopefully it will be soon.

Picture
Of course, there are a few things that you need for the perfect Christmas movie night.

1. A comfy spot to curl up
2. Hot Chocolate
3. Christmas cookies (Yes, I definitely recommend making Christmas cookies in July)
4. If you have a fireplace, you could turn the A/C up and light the fireplace for an extra Christmasy feel.
5. Turn off all of your electronic devices. This is definitely a must for quality family time no matter what you are doing.

So this my first suggestion for Family Fun Friday. Enjoy the last Friday of July with a Christmas movie night!!! I would love to hear what your some of your favorite Christmas movies are, so please feel free to let me know in the comments below. Have A Wonderful Day!!!
