Krista Curry is at a soccer game with her Opa when she discovers a time bomb was left behind next to where they are sitting. Krista doesn’t know what she should do, so she goes looking for someone who can help. She runs into explosives expert Cash Dixon and tells him about what she found. Cash is able to disarm the bomb before anyone gets hurt, but now he and his team must work together to find the person who left it behind. They soon discover that Krista saw the face of the man who left the bomb and that she can identify him. Cash and his team do not believe that Krista is completely innocent and begin to suspect that she may have been accomplice. Krista tries everything she can to convince them of her innocence, but when it is obvious that she is hiding something, the First Responders Team find it harder and harder to believe. When Krista’s life is threatened, Cash will stop at nothing to protect from the danger that surrounds her. But Cash has to decide if she is really just an innocent woman being threatened and targeted or a guilty accomplice.

I was once again captivated by the adventures of the First Responders Unit. From page one until the end of the book I was drawn into the lives of the characters. I felt like I ran into a group of old friends and couldn’t wait to catch up with them. I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to find out what happens to the FRT in book three. I also loved meeting Krista and her Opa. I admired the strength and faith that Opa had. The story is filled with many twists and turns and kept me in suspense until the very end. The mystery, romance, and drama were tied together beautifully. I was not able to put the book down until I was finished. I would highly recommend this book to anybody who loves a good mystery.
