"Noble"
All Christina ever wanted to do was become a famous singer. She idolized Doris Day and wanted to just like her, but things do not go well for Christina. Her mother dies when Christina is still very young, and she has to take care of her brothers and sisters because her father is an alcoholic. When the truant officer reports the situation to the courts, the children are all sent to various orphanages and institutions. Once Christina is old enough to live on her own, she tries to find a job and a place to live. She gets a job at a factory, but cannot find a place to live, so she ends up homeless living in a park. After years and years of abuse and difficulty, Christina prays and asks God to help her. She then has a dream about Vietnam, but does not know what it means. Twenty years later she makes her way to Vietnam and once she arrives in Vietnam and sees the deplorable conditions that children have to live in, she immediately realizes the purpose of her dream. Christina begins seeking ways that she can help the children. She fights through the governmental red tape to get a work visa, and begins to seek financial support from various oil companies so that she can help build an orphanage for the children. She goes on to set up many orphanages in Vietnam and help thousands of Vietnamese children.

"Noble" is based on the true story of Christina Noble's life. I like how she overcame the many obstacles that she faced throughout her life and uses them to help many children in Vietnam survive similar situations. The story has its touching moments, but it also has many improper moments as well.(See Parental Guide below) I am always looking for good, clean, family friendly, Christian movies to watch with my family and friends, but sadly I do not think that this will be one that I will watch with them because of the immoral incidents in the movie.
PARENTAL GUIDE: This film contains: several vulgar words, drinking, smoking, people being beaten, blood, Vietnam War clips, abductions, sexual innuendos, implied rape, and child molestation.
I received a complimentary copy of the Noble DVD from Fish Flix in exchange for my honest review.
