Duty Brought Them Together Will Secrets Destroy Their Love?
American Emma Hanson came to England to study at Oxford, but joined the Women's Auxiliary Air Force at the height of World War II. She is stationed at beautiful and historic Danesfield House west of London as part of the highly secretive Photographic Reconnaissance Unit.
Englishman Will Fleming is a handsome young artist who has been commissioned by the British government to record the changing landscape in paintings. His path intersects with Emma's when his real mission—tracking Nazi spies—leads him to Danesfield House, the target of a sinister plot.
Emma and Will become friends, but neither can reveal the true nature of their assignment. Can their relationship grow amid such secrecy? And can Will save Danesfield House—and Emma and her coworkers—before it's too late?

I love reading, studying, and learning about World War II. So needless to say, I could not wait to read this book. From the very beginning of the story, I was drawn into the book. Filled with spies, duty, loyalty, suspense, and romance this book is a captivating story. I loved learning about the Photographic Reconnaissance Unit that studied the photographs that the flyers took. I never realized that there was an entire unit devoted to just studying photographs.
There are so many different spies in this book that I wasn’t quite sure who to trust and who to rely on. So many secrets abound that keep you wondering who is really telling the truth. This story definitely kept me on the edge of my seat as I could not wait to find out what was going to happen next.
I loved this book, and I cannot wait to read the next story in this series. If you like historical fiction, then I recommend that you read this book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
