Every Bride Needs A Groom
By Janice Thompson
Katie Fisher has been planning her wedding for years and is convinced that her longtime boyfriend is going to propose any day now. When she finds out about a contest in a bridal magazine to win the wedding dress of your dreams, Katie jumps at the chance to enter. She cannot wait to find if she wins the contest until her boyfriend breaks up with her and moves out of state. Katie does indeed win the dress of her dreams, but doesn't know whether or not she should accept the dress without any chance of a wedding in her future. She goes to Dallas to let them know that she will not accept the gown only to be talked into keeping up the charade of her wedding for a while longer. Katie keeps playing along with the workers at the dress shop, but the longer the charade goes on the more guilty she feels. Will Katie end up with the dress of her dreams or will she be forced to give it back because she is not going to be getting married anytime soon? Find out by reading Every Bride Needs A Groom.

I was looking forward to reading this book, but I had a hard time getting into it. The beginning was slow going and hard to follow, but the second half was fast paced and easier to follow. There were some innuendoes in the book that were not needed and I did not appreciate.

I received a complimentary copy of the book by Revell in exchange for my honest review.

I have always enjoyed books by Irene Hannon, and this one did not disappoint me. The book is filled with mystery, suspense, and romance. I could not put the book down and was totally drawn into the story. I told my sister as I was reading the book that it reminded me a little bit of Columbo because we learn about the crime right away and follow the detectives as they try to put all of the pieces together. Irene Hannon is a master at knowing how to put suspense, romance, and faith together to create an unforgettable story, and I cannot wait to read book two in this series.

I love mystery books and this one did not disappoint. Double Cross is filled with many exciting twists and turns along the way and it kept me guessing until the end about who the mastermind really was. I missed book one in the series, but I was able to follow this one without having read Firewall. (I hope to read sometime soon though.) My only complaint about the book was some of the mature content in the book and I would not recommend this book for young readers.

I received this complimentary book from Tyndale Publishers in exchange for my honest review.

In this book Cassie and Caleb learn the importance of who God created them to be. Their parents teach them many valuable lessons about the Bible, family, helping others, honesty, and self image. Cassie and Caleb also teach their friends some of the lessons they have been learning from their parents.

I was interested in this book for my Sunday School and Children's Church classes at church. I did receive many ideas for future lessons from this book. However, there were a couple of things that I did not like: I wished they would have used the King James Bible and I did not like the catechisms. I plan to use some of the thoughts in the book and transform them to fit my age group at church.
