Homicide detective Livy Reynolds is having a hard dealing with the fact that she had to kill someone in the line of duty and is being forced to take a leave absence while she tries to get her perspective back. During her leave of absence she goes to Logan Point to stay with her aunt and uncle, while there she is reminded of all that she has been missing by solely focusing on her job.
Alex Jennings is a private investigator who has been giving a missing persons case involving a senator’s granddaughter. The last time the granddaughter was seen was in Logan Point, so Alex flies there in hopes of finding her or at least a lead as to where she could have gone. Once he arrives in Logan Point, he learns that has been several other women that have gone missing in the last two years. Alex meets Livy and discovers that her cousin is one of the women that disappeared. Livy takes an immediate dislike to Alex because he reminds her of her estranged dad. However, when Alex begins to investigate the disappearances, Livy has no choice but to join forces with Alex if she ever hopes to see her cousin again. Will Alex and Livy be able to work together to solve the case or will the kidnapper get away with not only kidnapping but also murder?

I thoroughly enjoyed reading “Gone Without A Trace” by Patricia Bradley. Once I started reading I could not put the book down. She held me captive from page one until the conclusion of the story. The story is filled with action, romance, drama, and tons of suspense. I haven’t read the first two books in the series, but after reading this one I plan to go back and read them. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a good mystery.
I received this book from Revell Publishing in exchange for my honest review.
