Julianne Bartlett is an attorney who set out to start your own law firm with her best friend Will Hanes. The two have been friends since grade school and are very much alike in many ways. They both like the same things, they can finish each other’s sentences, and they even think alike…well most of the time anyway. Julianne has been waiting and searching for her Prince Charming her whole life. She is wrapped in all of the fairy tale and ever after dreams, that she cannot see what is right in front of her.
Will has loved Julianne for decades and cannot get the courage to tell her how he feels. When Julianne meets the guy of her dreams, who surely must be the Prince Charming she has been waiting for, Will is devastated and thinks he has completely lost his chance to tell. As Julianne gets to know Prince Charming better she discovers that he isn’t what she thought he was, but doesn’t want to let everybody know that she has failed in the dating department once again. So what does she do? She continues the ruse that that her Prince Charming is the perfect guy. But things quickly begin to unravel and Julianne’s happy ever after is shred to pieces. Will Julianne find the man of her dreams or will she settle for something less in order to save herself from humiliation and embarrassment?

“If the Shoe Fits” is a great story and is an excellent read. This book is filled with laughter, love, and some great lessons as well. I enjoyed reading this book, but I found myself getting frustrated with Julianne’s choices. I found myself wanting to shake her and tell her to wake up and open her eyes. I guess if one gets that involved in a book then it must be worth reading, right? I would recommend this book if you are looking for a fun and relaxing read.
I received a complimentary copy from Moody Publishers in exchange for my honest review.
