Lessons on Principles Pertaining to the Will of God

This week I have been studying what the Bible says about the Will of God. God wants us to do His Will, but He will not force His Will upon us. However, He does reward us if we do His Will. What exactly is God's Will, you may ask. Well I am glad you did. Here are some things the Bible teaches us about God's Will:

1. Our words and the thoughts we have should be acceptable and pleasing to God.
2. We should not withhold good from those who deserve it, if it is in our power to do so.
3. We need to love our enemies. bless those that curse us, do good to them that hate us, and pray for those that despitefully use us and persecute us.
4. We need to pray that God's Will is done.
5. We need to share the Gospel with others.
6. We need to love God with all of our heart, soul, strength, and mind.
7. We need to have compassion and take care of those who are wounded or hurting.
8. We should want to do the Will of God and this desire should come from our hearts not because someone is making us or telling us to do so.
9. We should not complain about doing God's Will.
10. The Will of God should be done in everything that we do.

If we do the Will of God, we will be better off than doing our own will. So let's do our best to do His Will instead of our own. Have A Wonderful Day!!!

Lessons on Godly Suffering

This week's topic of study has been Godly Suffering. As we read the Bible, we find many different people who suffered. So, suffering is nothing new. There will be many times that we will go through pain and suffering, and we do not know why, or how we are going to handle it. The Bible shows us how we can deal with the pain and suffering that we have. The Bible also tells us that it is an honor to suffer for God. I would like to share with you what I have learned about suffering.

1. What others mean for bad or harm against us, God can use it for good.
2. We do not need to fear evil because God is with us.
3. God will take care of those who try to hurt us.
4. If we are persecuted for righteousness' sake, God promises us a great reward.
5. We need to pray for those who persecute us.
6. We need to pray more and more earnestly when we are suffering.
7. God promises us a way to escape when we face temptation.
8. We need to comfort those that are in trouble.
9. Everyone who lives a Godly life and obeys God will suffer persecution.
10. Everything will work together for good.

I hope these points will help you. We never want to go through persecution and suffering, but we need to remember that God is always with us and will help us through it. Have A Wonderful Day!!!

Lessons on Dealing with Anger

This week I have been studying on how to deal with anger. A lot of us have things that make us angry and upset, this is bad enough. But what is even worse, is when we dwell on that anger and continue to feed it. So here are some things that I learned this week about what the Bible tells us to do with anger.

1. Even if someone is angry with and trying to harm us, we still need to behave ourselves wisely and like Christians. It does no good to stoop to their level.
2. We need to cease from anger.
3. We should be slow to anger. A lot of times we let the littlest thing upset and we fly off the handle. This only leads to more problems and anger.
4. We need to be careful with our words and make sure that they are not going to cause anger in anyway.
5. We need to avoid angry people. The Bible even tells us that we should not even be friends with someone who is angry.
6. Anger will only cause strife.
7. We need to do our best to put away anger and strife.

I know that it is hard sometimes not to be angry, but we need to do our best to control our anger. Yes, there are appropriate times to be angry as Jesus did get angry with the wicked, those who do not believe in Him, the moneychangers in the temple, etc. So the Bible does tell us times when we should be angry like Jesus was angry, but we should not let our anger control us and define us.

Lessons on Overcoming Fear and Anxiety

1/7/2017

This year I decided to do something new with my Bible reading. While I have been reading my Bible daily for years, I have never really done any sort of organized Bible study. So, this year I decided to do so. I will have a more in depth explanation as to what I plan to do this year on Monday. (Look under the Blog section)

Anyway this week I have been studying how to Biblically Overcome Fear and Anxiety. We all have things that scare us or make us nervous or worried, and if you are like me, then it can be hard to deal with and conquer our fears. I am still working on overcoming my fears and worries, and I am sure that this is going to be a work in progress for quite some time. I have learned several things this week about what the Bible says about fears, and I would like to share those with you now.

1. God is always with me no matter what.
2. God is my strength and because of this I should not be afraid of what others may try to do to me.
3. God will strengthen my heart.
4. I can have perfect peace if I keep my mind on God and trust in Him.
5. God will give me strength and help to conquer my fears.
6. Nothing can separate me from God's love.
7. God promises to comfort me in all of my trials and tribulations.
8. God does not give me a spirit of fear. He does not want me to be afraid or worried.
9. God will never leave me nor forsake me.
10. I need to cast all of my cares upon God. He cares for me and wants to help me. He is stronger than I am, and He can handle all of my cares.

These are somethings that I learned this week, and I hope that I can learn, remember, and apply them to my life daily. I hope they have been a help to you as well.
