This week I studied about how the  Book of Proverbs describes God. 

1. The Book of Proverbs shows us seven things that the Lord hates and that are an abomination to him: a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, an heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. 
2. God will punish the wicked.
3. God will deliver the righteous.
4. God sees everything that we do.
5. Our prayers are a delight to God.
6. God loves those who follow righteousness.
7. God weighs the spirits.
8. The Name of the Lord is a strong tower.
9. God is the only One Who can keep us totally safe. 
10. There is no wisdom, understanding, or counsel against the Lord.

Proverbs is one of my favorite Books of the Bible. It is filled with so many practical and helpful truths. It also contains many guidelines about how we should live our lives. This week I studied about what the Book of Proverbs has to say about righteousness and wickedness. 

1. Those who are righteous will receive many blessings.
2. The righteous have a good reputation and a good name, but the name of the wicked will rot.
3. A righteous person will have an acceptable speech. Meaning no cussing, swearing, lying, gossiping, etc.
4. The wicked will fall by their own wickedness.
5. If we follow after righteousness and mercy, we will find life, righteousness, and honour.
6. The people will rejoice when the righteous are in authority, but they will mourn when the wicked are in authority.
7.the righteous are bold and will stand up for God and His Word.

This week we are going to look at what the Bible has to say about Godly Obedience. 

1. If we disobey God's Word, we will be cursed.
2. We need to obey God instead of other people when people try to get us to go against God and His Word.
3. God will reward those who obey Him.
4. God will protect us if we obey Him.
5. We need to obey God's voice.

This week I looked at Paul's Godly Credentials. Many people say that Paul was the greatest apostle and greatest Christian in the New Testament if not ever. (Except for Jesus of course!!!) So if those statements are true, what was it about Paul that made him so great? And why do we not try to emulate him and follow his example? So here are some of the things that Paul tells us about serving God.

1. We need to have a Godly, simplistic, and sincere testimony.
2. We need to have an abundant love for others.
3. We should not talk corruptly, dirty, or like the world. We should speak with sincerity about Christ.
4. We should not give up or quit the ministry when things get tough.
5. We need to be servants of Jesus.
6. We need to be faithful in telling others about Jesus even when we are being persecuted.
7. We are ambassadors for Christ.
8. We should never blame the ministry for anything. 
9. We should not wrong, corrupt, or defraud anybody.
10. We need to be honest in all things.
